Store not working properly

July 29th, 2010

Something I did today messed things up (and I don’t know what!).

You can view all the products here: http://keeping-home.com/store/index.php?main_page=products_all
Also, many of the other pages from that page but NOT the store home page or any of the category pages. Checkout seems to be working also, it’s just the main page and category pages.

This WASN’T what I planned on doing tomorrow!!! I am trying, however, to be cheerful about it. :-)

What’s New

July 15th, 2010

Not much, but it has been a long time since I posted anything so even my presence is new. :-)

Just updated the samples gallery (it’s in the top menu in the retail store).

Finally finished upgrading the store software. That was pretty much a full-time job for a week (of course, if our modem would connect faster than 12,000 that would have sped it up considerably!).

In the Sewing Room

June 17th, 2010

I don’t really have a separate sewing room but we can pretend, can’t we?

What I am really doing in the pretend sewing room today:

  • Examining some new patterns and fabric my aunt bought for me. Pretty, pretty! I’m working on deciding what to do with them. And where to store them. The fabric will just go in “the stack” I suppose but the patterns are more challenging. I do have a pattern storage system but I’m not completely happy with. The new patterns are making me think about that. No conclusions, though!
  • Beginning to cut out some baby projects for gifts I need to give soon.
  • Eyeing my sewing machine wondering when to buckle down and try to figure out why it started jamming the other day. . . . but deciding to blog instead (blogging really is a higher priority at the moment!).
  • Taking apart a dress of my mother’s that got a hole chewed in it (not while she was wearing it, mind you!). I will recycle its parts.

The Sabbath Keeper’s Planner Is Here!

June 11th, 2010

I’ve wanted to do this for a long time: create printable planner pages/notebook pages specifically desgined for Sabbath Keepers. This desire sprang from my frustration at not being able to find free printable sheets that met my needs (my week doesn’t begin on Monday!).

Well, these aren’t exactly free but they are cheap, plus you can save the files to your computer and print whatever you need, whenever you need it ~ forever. And owners of the planner package will get free or discounted upgrades when I publish a new version!

Are you a Sabbath Keeper? Then check out The Sabbath Keeper’s Planner!

Fabric Flowers

June 11th, 2010

Some fabric flower samples made using the instructions in Beautiful Lingerie.

The results you get depend on the type of fabric, the length of the piece, the width of the piece, and how tightly you gather it. I’m going to try some lighter weight fabrics next time.
