Waiting On God: Five Things I’ve Learned from Experience

Waiting on God? The wait can be long sometimes. And confusing.

Waiting on God: Five Things I've Learned from Experience

I don’t have all the answers, but I have these five things I’ve learned from experience. Maybe one of them applies to your case. There’s always a reason when God seems slow (or silent). Don’t give up on Him.

Sometimes the reason God doesn’t answer our “Why, God?” immediately is that the answer is ten years long.

Sometimes God can’t answer our questions with words. He can only answer them with life.

We get frustrated and discouraged over our failures without realizing that our failures are stepping stones to a success we never imagined.

God gives us a dream, a vision, a burden, and we wonder why it won’t come to fruition. Was it really God? Am I really the one? Does this really matter? God gives a dream and then He sends us to school so that we can be equipped to fulfill that mission. Or He starts building that dream and the foundation is bigger than we expected.

We think God is doing nothing (or very little) but we’re wrong. His top priority is restoring us to His image and THAT He is always working on.

Are you waiting on God? Are you wondering why He isn’t doing anything and why He won’t even explain Himself? I do that often ~ but I know it will eventually make sense.

So glad your original plans for today's post fell through, because this post is wonderful. Exactly what I and many others (I assume) need to hear today (and maybe every day). 🙂 Happy Thursday sweet friend!!

Thanks, April! I had it in my stash but didn’t have a place for it for several weeks. Maybe it couldn’t wait! 🙂

I love that!  And sometimes, it's on the other side of the Jordan. 🙂
