Hello! I’m Christina @ Keeping Home.
Of course, Keeping Home isn’t my last name . . . but I’m still hoping for a name change so you really don’t need to memorize the current one. ๐

ย
About Keeping Home
Protecting and supporting home, sweet home through encouraging articles, focused projects, wholesome products, and hand holding as necessary.
Keeping Home is dedicated to:
-
Promoting Positive Homekeeping
-
Helping Keep Christian Homes Healthy and Happy
-
Protecting the Existence of Home, Sweet Home, One Family at a Time
It is my deep desire to fulfill this mission in every project I undertake.
ย
It is my belief that the most important battleground in the war between good and evil, God and Satan, is the homeโand YOUR home is the front line.
If you’re interested, you can read my statement of faith and values here.
Keeping Home Site
Keeping Home’s main website provides encouragement, connection, and resources for men, women, and children who want to take their home life to the next level.
It promotes positive homekeeping ~ because home matters.
It provides motivation and tools to Christian family managers to create and maintain homes and families that are healthy (physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually), happy, and truly Christian.
It upholds home, sweet home and challenges others to do the same within their own homes and families.
I pray you are encouraged and equipped, and that your home is protected by what you read here.

More About Me . . .
#1 I’m a “family and consumer scientist.” That’s a fancy name for someone in the field of family and consumer sciences. The field used to be Home Economics but it outgrew that name. There are many interesting subjects in this field, but my interests, both personally and professionally, are particularly centered around homemaking ~ the making, keeping, and managing of homes in a Christ-centered, God-fearing, Bible-oriented, healthful, and sensible way. I just do old-fashioned “home economics” because that’s what interests me. Besides, that let’s me in on a little bit of everything. ๐
#2 In my dreams I’m a farm girl but in reality I’m pretty much a sedentary, indoors, desk and computer girl. This may have something to do with point #6, as well as the fact that I took to computers and the Internet like I took to breathing (almost). I still do dirt and plants even though I skipped that one farmer gene that makes you prefer being outside at all times.
#3 I’m unmarried, hopeful, still sort of youngish (barely). I live with my parents and brother.
#4 I’m musically talented but not highly skilled. I like planning and organizing. I’m not perfectly organized.
#5 I’m sick and tired of depression, anxiety, and fatigue! Most days I don’t feel good in one way or another, even if it’s minor. These days I have to take a nap almost every day. I’m really thankful that I’m no longer severely depressed like I was for a while a few years ago (10?). Still, I’m on a serious quest for health improvement because I’ve got things to do and books to write, and I need more energy! And gardens to grow, and things to learn, and music to play, and . . . .
#6 I love sewing patterns. And craft patterns. More than I love sewing and crafts. This is why I need to sell them (store is currently closed) and you need to use them. ๐ I do like to sew, however. Or at least, I like to plan sewing projects and to have sewn. Those are the best parts of sewing, in my opinion. ๐
